Is pre-registration required?
Yes. Campers must be registered by 7:00am the day of camp in order to participate.
My Child is in BMC. What if I don’t fill out the camper packet in ePACT?
Breckenridge Mountain Camp (BMC) is a Colorado State licensed program. Due to this, all children must fill out a camper packet via ePact. Your child will not be able to attend camp until the ePact paperwork is complete. This includes uploading current immunizations on the correct Colorado form. The Youth Coordinator or a Programs Lead can assist you with the paperwork.
What if I'm late for drop off?
Please contact the correct Program Coordinator to inform them of your late arrival. It is your responsibility to find your child's group and drop them off at that activity if they have left the building. You may also call the Recreation Center Front desk at 970-453-1734 for help locating your child’s group.
What if I Want to Pick my Child up Early?
Parents are responsible for coordinating early pick up with your child’s Program Coordinator or BMC Counselor. Please inform your child's coordinator/ counselor for the day, get the coordinator/counselor’s phone number, and note where the group will be at the time you want to pick up. PLEASE NOTE: It is extremely difficult to pick up early from half day programs that leave the Recreation Center campus. Groups will not return early to accomodate this and may be on trail. Please contact the Program Coordinator in these instances.
What if I am Late for Pick Up?
We will contact the parent and emergency contacts if a child(ren) are not picked up by the end of the program pick up time. After 15 minutes we will notify the Breckenridge Police Department. Additionally, we will charge $1 per minute after 5 minutes of tardiness until pickup has occurred.
*The late pickup will be documented and if it occurs 3 times, it may result in complete removal from all future programs.*
What if one my children is sick, can the other one attend camp?
According to CDC and State Licensing, the sibling is allowed to attend camp as long as they are not showing symptoms. If your child shows symptoms at any point during the day, parent will be called and will have 60 min to pick up their child.
I Have More than One Child- Can they go in the Same Group?
Program Staff have full say as to what group your child will be placed in during their day(s) at camp. Certain activities may not be appropriate for all ages. Siblings will see each other at drop off and pick up activities. Set your children up for success and encourage them to enjoy new friends and experiences!
My child is in Ice Skating. Will they be transported to their afternoon program at the recreation center?
No. Parents are responsible for transportation from the ice rink to the recreation center for their afternoon program.
Can I enroll my child in the same AM and PM program?
We strongly suggest mixing up their AM and PM programs, while they may absolutely love, for example mountain biking, it is very difficult to keep that enthusiasm while riding the same trail system, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Does Lunch Bunch provide food?
No, all participants are responsible for all their snacks and lunches, so pack plenty of food!! *Campers are NOT allowed to buy snacks or drinks from the front desk during camp. *
My Child Needs an Accommodation, What Should I Do?
The Breckenridge Recreation Programs Team strives to create an environment
where all children are welcome and can succeed. If your child is in need of assistance,
please contact the appropriate coordinator for the program you are interested in.
We do ask for a minimum of 2 week notice to ensure appropriate accommodations
can be made.
Can we store gear at the Rec. Center overnight?
No, all gear must be taken home each night. Gear can be left between programs, but must be picked up at the end of the day.
Can my child attend Lunch Bunch even if they aren’t attending both an AM and PM camps?
No, to ensure proper supervision as we are shuttling to and from programs, we ask that you please do not sign up for lunch bunch unless enrolled in both an AM and PM program.
